North Carolina senior standout Deuce Bello confirmed with Evan Daniels of Scout.com this morning that he has two visits – Louisville and Baylor – already set up.
Bello (right), a top-40 prospect, will visit U of L on Sept. 4 and Baylor on Sept. 11. He might make a few other visits but those have been the two schools many figured would be the leaders.
With that nugget, I have received a bunch of emails asking what players I expect to be making visits to U of L that Sept. 4 weekend for the football game against Kentucky.
As of right now, I think the Cardinals are planning on just three ‘official’ visits with the Tony Wroten situation unclear. Those three for sure players visiting would be Bello, his friend and the No. 2 ranked player in the country Quincy Miller and California guard Josiah Turner.
Wroten has said on his twitter that he will be in town that weekend, but his father told me Monday night that a final date has not been set. He said it would ‘likely be sometime in September,’ which means he could also come the Sept. 11 weekend.
Baltimore guard Nick Faust had previously said he would be making a visit to U of L that weekend but don’t expect that to be happening. Nick Johnson, who recently committed to Arizona, was slated for a Sept. 11 visit.
U of L could have – and I assume will have – others in town that weekend on unofficial visits but I would be surprised if anything other than the three (four) are ‘official’ visitors.
